For those of you who have never listened to Huerco S. (and also those who have). On a more serious note, this an outstanding album that captures the hypnotic, calming, soothing spirit of ambient. The cold, blurry, hazy kind which doesn't need to resort to excessive sweetness, yet slowly seduces you with it's mesmerizing, slightly cold tones. Future New Age Music.

Ulla’s productions reveal a discerning process of stripping tracks to their essence, letting space, silence, simplicity and repetition be her guide. She lends a magic touch to a difficult and minimal style of music, creating an album that is comforting and tranquil, yet hypnotizing and transportive. Most evidently, UIla’s music is inspired, by emotions and experiences unknown to us, but perhaps best represented in her own words:
“keeping pictures on a wall left there by someone else.
day dreaming about something not real.
hearing a friend walk through the front door.
letting a plant die.
the silence of a room when the box fan is turned off."

This is an underwater odyssey that takes me deep into bliss. Physically and mentally relaxing music, but music that grabs you from the start and leads you on an underwater space exploration. Maybe it is not even music, not ambient; it is an experience, a journey. Taking us back to a time when we floated as cells in ancient seas. This is a masterpiece. One of my favorite records of the decade. Edward
The range of emotions experienced whilst listening to this tape is as impressive as the fact that it plays like one cohesive track, journey, or life. The artists featured here under different names have become heavyweights in the game (Huerco S., uon, exael, Ulla Straus) so it is hard to fathom just how great a sequel to this would be. This is one of my favorite projects ever and something that could be played over and over into blissful eternity. Edward
