Cairo based producer Mostafa Onsy delivers a set of dark soundscapes composed of both alien and organic matter. This nearly 40 min piece enters realms of deconstructed bass, dub and IDM, where sonics, tone and rhythmic forces rule over melody and harmonics. A ruminating, deep head trip, MetaConc shows Onsy’s deft sound design abilities, fusing organic sound sources with computer-rendered tones and digital precision. A cerebral voyage into a wayward virtual nebula.
